Product Description

Xishi Teapot

Xishi was the first of the Four Great Beauties of China, so beautiful that they say she helped cause the fall of the state of Wu in the fifth century BCE. Some say this classic shape was made to resemble her full, round and graceful face, while others claim it represents her breast.
The Xishi teapot is one of the most classic, traditional and popular among the many styles of purple clay teapots.
The Xishi teapot has a round body, a truncated lid, a short spout, and a large handle, which makes it a childlike teapot. It is a perfect teapot for tea drinking. The lid and body of this pot are combined into a sphere. The lid is set off by a spherical knob. Together with a special pour handle and a short spout, it forms the Xishi pot that is loved by the world. The Xishi pot looks simple but it is rigorous and natural.
